Appleby Park is a contemporary 96-bedroom hotel located near Tamworth, with excellent access to Junction 11 of the M42.  We assumed management of the underperforming property in 2020, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected the UK hospitality sector. The circumstances required an inventive and dynamic approach, effectively treating the hotel as a new opening and rebuilding its operational foundations. With the owners based overseas, we provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support. We have established service standards and internal operating procedures from the ground up, while reconfiguring the use and flow of the hotel’s spaces to improve efficiency, control costs and deliver sustainable returns. Our responsibilities encompass every aspect of the hotel’s performance, including budgeting and forecasting, expenditure management, reputation and guest feedback, staffing and resource planning, procurement, health and safety, and human resources. We have also overseen the hotel’s complete refurbishment, transforming it into the contemporary property it is today.
